Developmental Disabilities

Developmental disabilities are a group of severe, chronic conditions that begin anytime during development up to 22 years of age and usually last throughout a person's lifetime. They are attributable to mental and/or physical impairments and result in problems with major life activities such as self-care, language, learning, mobility and independent living. Developmental disabilities include conditions such as autism, cerebral palsy, mental retardation, vision and hearing loss.
